Breen spoke of the history and work of the Home Meal Service and its 40 years of serving the residents of Wayne County.
The program benefits Wayne County’s homebound senior citizens, enabling them to remain independent and maintain good health with a hot nutritious meal. In 2012, with 224 volunteers, 34,470 meals were served by the organization to 296 homebound participants. In addition, the Sodus Nutrition Center served 8,487 meals to 306 participants.
