Wayne County Council for the Arts will present 2010 Members Show from Sept. 10 through Oct. 1 at 108 W. Miller St. in Newark. Opening reception is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10 in the main gallery. The exhibit’s theme is Landscape and Florals.
Michele Vair, of Newark works in a variety of mediums. The inspiration for her work comes from all that surrounds her, and can be seen in the captured moments, urban environments and still-life photography in the members gallery this month.
Bonnie L. Evangelist, of Newark, has been taking pictures most of her life and has entered some in local juried exhibits. Her photos depict scenes and flowers from across the United States and Canada.
Newark Garden Club will display individual floral arrangements created by their members, from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18.
The club will donate a garden basket to the Wayne County Arts Council for a raffle to be held during the month of September. Tickets can be purchased at the gallery with a drawing held Sept. 30.
