Wayne County breast cancer survivors who would like to model at the fourth annual Passionately Pink Fashion Show and Pampering Event from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17 at Palmyra Town Hall on Canandaigua Street are needed.

Participation in the fashion show is limited to the first 30 survivors who register no later than Wednesday, Sept. 8. Models will choose an outfit from Peebles or Fashion Bug and will have the option to purchase that outfit at a significant discount.

“Many of the models also like to make a fashion statement with a pink accessory, such as a scarf or breast cancer awareness pin,” said Susan Short, chair of the event and 18-year breast cancer survivor. “It’s a lot of fun, even for the women who are stepping outside their comfort zone.”

The pampering portion of the event, from 4 to 7 p.m., will include manicures, pedicures and massages provided by local businesses.

For more information, call 332-2255 or (800) 854-8439.

Tickets to attend the fashion show and/or the pampering event will be sold at the door, although pre-registration to attend will be required. Pre-register between Oct. 1 and 10 by calling the Rochester General Link Line toll-free at (877) 922-LINK (5465). New this year will be the option of pre-ordering a pasta dinner, which also can be done through the LINK Line.
