Body found on Iceland Park in Rochester

Rochester Police are investigating the discovery of a body on Iceland Park around 6:30 a.m. Iceland Park is a street just one block long, between Jefferson Avenue and Genesee Street.

Police tell us the victim who appeared to be shot in the head. The victim was dead at the scene and appeared to have been there for a few hours.

A person who said he was the victim’s father spoke to News 10NBC and said his son was shot to death on Iceland Park. We are not releasing his name until the Medical Examiner confirms his identity.

Rochester Police Chief David Moore has left the scene but officers are still investigating near where the body was found.

There are no arrests in the case yet and the investigation is continuing.
