Local young entrepreneurs will receive YEA! Innovator awards on Feb. 13 in Rochester.
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is an after-school program for students in grades six through 12. The program teaches students how to create business ideas, perform market research, write up business plans, pitch their ideas to investors and ultimately launch their own companies.
Thirty-three young entrepreneurs will be honored at the event, which is scheduled to be held at the Student Innovation Center at the Rochester Institute of Technology. The event will begin at 5 p.m.
All Innovator Award-winners have been accepted to the 2012 Young Entrepreneurs Academy, and will receive financial awards from 16 organizations.
