Macedon Public Library, 30 Main St., will host the Country Dancers of Rochester at 2 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Community Room.

Molly Jaynes Wilson will play the fiddle as the dancers perform in full Regency Period costume. Audience members will be invited to participate after viewing a few dances.

Country dancing is the forerunner of modern square dance and the directions are called out to follow. The dancers will help any willing audience member and teach them how to twirl and side-step.

No advanced skills are necessary. Wear low-heeled, comfortable shoes. The free event for all ages will include tea.
