Thomas Knepp, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck that took place at around 9:45 p.m. Monday, on State Route 88.

ARCADIA — State police are investigating a one-vehicle crash that killed a Sodus man in the town of Arcadia on Monday night.

At around 9:45 p.m., 30-year-old Thomas Knepp was pronounced dead at the scene of the violent wreck that took place at around 9:45 p.m. on State Route 88, police said. 

Knepp was allegedly driving his vehicle at a high rate of speed on State Route 88 when he lost control and left the west shoulder of the roadway, according to police. His vehicle struck a ditch and became airborne before hitting a tree. 

Knepp was alone in the vehicle.
