Police have made an arrest in the murders of a mother and daughter on the day after Thanksgiving on Wellington Avenue.
Officers said Christie and Victoria Brooks were found shot to death in their home on Nov. 25.
In an indictment unsealed Friday, it's revealed that Christie's husband, Patrick Brooks, is now charged in the case.
He is facing two counts of murder and is being held on no bail.
According to Assistant DA Bill Gargan, the killing was a slaughter:
"Regretfully, the use of a knife is going to indicate certain things. And it's one which very confidently from the evidence brought forth through the investigation leads us to conclude it was definitely a stabbing."
Brooks is being held without bail. According to the District Attorney's Office, it was evidence at the scene that was tested and led to Brooks' arrest.
