The American Red Cross is offering residents an opportunity to learn more about its programs, services and volunteer opportunities in Wayne County.

Interested residents can tour the Emergency Command Vehicle and learn how volunteers respond to disasters, collect blood and assist military service members from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 21 at Tops Friendly Market, 2140 Walworth Penfield Road, Walworth.

The Red Cross will set up a display from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Jan. 27 at Palmyra Town Hall, 1180 Canandaigua Road, Palmyra, before a blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. Volunteers will discuss blood drives and their impact on the community, especially with the current, severe blood shortage.
