The Midtown Monorail, a hallmark of holiday memories of the old Midtown Plaza, will remain in storage.
This information comes from a spokesperson with the City of Rochester.
They say that the deadline for proposals to sell or house the monorail expired this week. A city spokesperson says some people expressed interest in the plan, but no one formally proposed to buy it.
City of Rochester staff took down the monorail from Midtown Plaza in 2007. It has remained in storage since then at a cost of $6,000 a year. City leaders remain open to proposals.
