The Newark-Arcadia Historical Society recently released the schedule for its 13th annual Winter Lecture Series.
The Feb. 4 session will feature Cynthia Russell as she presents “The Newark Rose Gardens: The Fabulous Fifties.” John Zornow will present “Newark Notables” on Feb. 18, and Jane Kiernan will discuss “The Fox Sisters: the Later Years” on March 4.
Seneca town historian Walter Gable will present “From Seneca Falls in 1848 to 1917: Securing Women’s Suffrage in New York” on March 18. Larry Bastian will end the series April 1 with “An Amish Barn Raising in Arcadia.”
The free lectures will be at 2 p.m. at Newark-Arcadia Museum, 121 High St., Newark.
