The Montezuma Audubon Center has partnered with Buttonwood Grove Winery, 5986 state Route 89, Romulus, for its Walking in a Winter Wineryland event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 4.
Guests will meet with guides for a snowshoe hike through a portion of the vineyard’s forest and meadow for birdwatching and mammal tracking activities. Buttonwood Grove will offer samples of its wines, local cheeses and hors d’oeuvres. The event will end with a bird of prey program by Krittrkris, which will include live birds; information about native owls, hawks and vultures; and a discussion about the importance of wildlife conservation and management.
Registration is required by Feb. 1. The program costs $30 for adults, $20 for children with a snowshoe rental; or $25 for adults and $15 for children without a snowshoe rental.
