Thomas Coene, of Ontario, was named Fighting Tiger Athlete of the Week at SUNY Cobleskill. Coene, a freshman thrower on the men’s indoor track and field team, was the top finisher at the recent Utica College Pioneer Invitational No. 3 with a toss of 46 feet, 8-3/4 inches in the standard 35-pound weight throw.

Megan Kreuser, of Newark, was named to University of Delaware’s fall 2016 dean’s list. To be eligible, full-time students must earn a minimum 3.33 GPA.

Jamison Brooks, of Williamson; Rebecca Kittleson, of Ontario; and Toby Young, of Marion, were among the cast, crew and orchestra at a recent production of Gian Carlo Menotti’s “The Old Maid and the Thief” at Nazareth College. Brooks performed percussion, and Kittleson played the oboe, while Young starred as Bob.

Catherine Sarver, of North Rose, was named to Wilkes University’s fall 2016 dean’s list. To be eligible, students must complete at least 12 credit hours and earn a minimum 3.4 GPA.

Audry Mattle, of Ontario, recently received a Rush Rhees Scholarship from University of Rochester. The scholarship, named for UR’s third president, is given to students for academic excellence.

Lorrayne Broach, of Savannah, was named to the fall 2016 dean’s list at SUNY Oswego. To be eligible, students must earn a 3.3 to 3.79 GPA. Broach is an English secondary education major.

Nicholas Yerden, of Macedon; Shane Garlock, of Pultneyville; Jonathan Kolb, of Red Creek; and Jordan Hackett, of Walworth, were named to the fall 2016 dean’s list at Paul Smith’s College. Garlock studies sustainable communities and working landscapes, Hackett is a environmental sciences student and Kolb is an integrative studies major. Yerden, a fisheries and wildlife sciences student, was named an Adirondack Scholar for earning a minimum 3.8 cumulative average.

Rylee Kalinski, of Clyde; Kristina James and Colin Wadsworth, of Lyons; Kathryn Liotta, Samantha Orlando and MacKenzie Reinard, of Macedon; Brian Bremer, Hannah Croft and Maria Croft, of Newark; Matthew Dell’olio, of Ontario; Cody Eckerson, of Palmyra; and Allison Camp, David Carder, Jessica Carder, Sydney Doway and Sarah Ribble, of Walworth, were named to the fall 2016 dean’s list at Niagara University. To be eligible, students must earn a 3.25 semester GPA.

Mackenzie Sturtz, of Marion, was one of 119 Youngstown State University student-athletes to be named to the Horizon League fall 2016 academic honor roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must complete three semesters as full-time students and earn a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA. Sturtz, an art studio graphic interior design student, is a member of the track and field team.
