A Wayne County sheriff's deputy was terminated this week after being accused of sexual abuse and official misconduct while on the job.

LYONS — A Wayne County sheriff’s deputy was fired this week after being charged with multiple sex crimes.

Wayne County sheriff’s deputies charged Devin Hall, of Sodus, with official misconduct and second-degree sex abuse, both class A misdemeanors; and third-degree sex abuse, a class B misdemeanor.

According to deputies, the arrest and termination came after an investigation into claims that Hall engaged in unethical and criminal conduct while he was employed as a deputy.

Hall was arraigned in Lyons Town Court and will reappear at a later date.
