Rural & Migrant Ministry will host this year’s Alternative Spring Break from March 13 through March 17 at Liturgia Rural Worker Education Center, 7 Phelps St., Lyons.
College students will have the opportunity to travel throughout western New York, tour apple orchards and dairy farms, meet and engage with farmworkers and advocates and learn more about the agribusiness system and labor protections from which farmworkers are excluded.
The program will focus on the difference between service and social justice.
The program’s cost, $350, includes room and board, transportation and program fees. Scholarships are available.
