The village of Newark recently announced that it will join VoteTilla, a weeklong navigational celebration that will take place July 16-22 from Seneca Falls to Rochester along the Erie Canal.
VoteTilla will arrive in Newark at 4:30 p.m. July 18. Participants will perform a re-enactment after departing the bus. The Anthony Museum Collections and Education Committee organized this event honoring women’s suffrage as an opportunity for collaboration and educational outreach.
The village of Newark will host the Taste of Wayne County from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. along Van Buren Street from Veteran’s bridge on East Avenue to the North Main Street bridge. County vendors will offer tastings of their signature dish, food or beverages.
Wayne County businesses interested in participating in VoteTilla and Taste of Wayne County should contact Greater Newark Chamber of Commerce to reserve a space.
