Governor Andrew Cuomo Thursday finalized a two-year plan to keep the Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack open, and save 1,200 local jobs.

The Farmington racino raised concerns about losing money because of the new Del Lago Resort and Casino, which recently opened in nearby Tyre, Seneca County.

The governor's plan will provide extra revenue for FLRT's purse money, keeping it at last year's level.

It also extends the racetrack season to 145 days, with eight races per day from April to November.
