Macedon Public Library, 30 Main St., will host Macedon town historian June Hamell in a celebration of the final Constitutional Convention in New York State that created the NYS Constitution at 2 p.m. April 18.
John Jay, Robert R. Livingston and Gouverneur Morris were the primary writers of the documents that was completed April 20, 1777. The library will have birthday cake to celebrate the 240th anniversary of the document.
Hamell will discuss resources available in the Bullis Room that directly relate to state history. The Bullis family collected books pertinent to state history and were avid readers on political and historical topics.
