Family Game Night at Kelley School was another big hit this year with 60 families attending.
The 90-minute evening event planned by a group of Kelley School teachers featured activities tailored to promote spending time together as a family.
“People loved it, everyone had a great time,” said Kerri Levine, assistant principal at Lincoln School.
Family Game Night started in the cafeteria with pizza, tangerines, Oreo cookies and water being served to 200-plus guests.
The object of the evening was for every family to “play” at four of the six game stations in the gymnasium and receive a sticker at each station to put on their paper game board. Once four stickers were obtained, they were allowed to take a new game board home.
Attendees said they had a good time building with Legos provided by Newark Public Library.
Family Game Night was combined with the Kelley School Book Fair, with proceeds being used to benefit the Kelley School Student Activities Fund.
