Lyons National Bank’s new Downtown Office, 63 Genesee St., Auburn, recently became the first of two Cayuga County branch locations to open this year.
The office is staffed with Auburn residents, including commercial lender Gregory Lattimore, mortgage originator Craig Mietz, branch manager Demetrius Murphy and assistant branch manager Angelica Reyes.
“Having been a part of the community for my entire life, I’m confident that residents and businesses alike will appreciate LNB’s community-minded philosophy of banking,” Murphy said. They have assembled a team of people who know Auburn from a personal perspective.”
Plans to build a new branch on the site of the former La-Z-Boy furniture store on Grant Avenue in Auburn are underway. The existing structure is expected to be demolished this spring with a grand opening date set in the fall.
“We are very excited to enter the Auburn market,” said Thomas Kime, president at LNB. “The feedback we have received already from community members has been exceedingly positive. The community has seen a great deal of change among their banks, and I have no doubt our hometown-style of community banking will be a perfect fit for the area.”
