The 26-year-old Walworth woman was charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony, in connection with the incident, which began Friday around 9 p.m.
An argument between siblings over marijuana turned violent Friday, with a Walworth woman stabbing her brother in the arm, leaving him to bleed on the back porch, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies reported.
Ashley H. Compton, 26, of 4200 Walworth Ontario Road, was charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony, in connection with the incident, which began Friday around 9 p.m.
Compton was arguing with her brother, deputies allege, and stabbed him in the arm with a hunting knife. Her brother then ran out of the room, and Compton ran outside and called 911.
When deputies arrived, they reported finding Compton in the driveway and her brother lying on the back porch bleeding. The injured man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Compton was arraigned in the Town of Marion Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail. She is scheduled to appear before the Town of Walworth Court at a later date.
