Kristina Keenan, of Walworth, was recently inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the honor society of the National Association of Communication, at Ithaca College. Keenan studies emerging media.

Zachary Luckin, of North Rose, recently presented at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research at University of Memphis in Tennessee. Luckin is an environmental studies major.

Mackenzie Sturtz, of Marion, was recently recognized at Youngstown State University’s annual Student Awards Banquet. Sturtz, a senior art studio major, received Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Collin Carr, of Clyde, recently received the Outstanding Senior in Public Justice Award and the Outstanding Achievement Award in Political Science during the Honors Convocation at SUNY Oswego. Carr, a public justice and political science major, plans to attend law school.

Michelle Morales, of North Rose, was recently featured in the annual Juried Student Art Exhibition at SUNY Oneonta. Featured artists were selected from an open jury process, and works were entered by the art faculty. The exhibit featured more than 100 works by student artists.

Shannon Dole, of Newark, was recently recognized as a Cowles Honor Scholar at the Elmira College Academic Honors and Student Recognition Celebration. To be eligible, seniors must earn a minimum 3.6 GPA and sustain the achievement throughout their Elmira College career.

Faith Meckley, of Macedon, recently helped Ithaca College’s student-run newspaper, The Ithacan, be named Best College Newspaper in New York State for 2016 by the New York Press Association. Meckley, a journalism major, was awarded first place for news story by the association under the individual awards.

Michael Williams, of Lyons, was recently inducted into the St. Lawrence University chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society. To be eligible, student-athletes must be nominated by their head coaches and earn a minimum 3.4 GPA. Williams, a Lyons High School graduate, studies mathematics and economics.
