A Sodus man being housed in the Wayne County Jail is facing felony assault charges in connection with a jail fight that ended with a corrections officer being bit.

Andreak L. King, 29, of 65 W. Main St., was charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony, in connection with the fight April 28 at the jail.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, King was being housed at the jail on unrelated charges when he got into an altercation with another inmate. While being subdued, King then became combative toward corrections officers, deputies allege, and bit one of the officers on the arm.

King was arraigned in the Town of Lyons Court and remanded back to the jail. He is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
