Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum will host John Rogers as he presents “All About Bluebirds” as part of the History Alive! series at 6:30 p.m. May 24 at Sodus Point Village Hall, 8536 Bay St.
Rogers’ talk will include the life history of the eastern bluebird, other birds that nest in bluebird boxes and nest box management. He has maintained a trail of bluebird boxes for 40 years, and estimates over 13,000 bluebirds have fledged in boxes he monitors.
Rogers is co-founder of the New York State Bluebird Society. He has received awards for his commitment to bluebird and nature education.
