The Lake Ontario Wine Trail will host various events throughout the summer to showcase its wineries, distilleries and cideries.
Participating wine trail members will pair specialty baked goods with their wines, ciders and spirits during the Sweet Retreat from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 3-4. Old Goat Cidery at The Apple Shed, 3391 Fairville Maple Ridge Road, Newark, will make its first public appearance. Tickets cost $15.
Wine Trail Gives Back will support Humane Society of Wayne County from noon to 5 p.m. June 10-11 at participating members. Those who donate will receive a complimentary tasting and other treat. Tasting fees will be donated on behalf of the guests.
The fifth annual Wine and Artisan Festival will feature wines, spirits, ciders and beers for tasting and purchase from 5:30 to 9 p.m. June 16 at T. Spencer Knight Canal Park, 199 Van Buren St., Newark. Tickets cost $15.
