Williamson-Pultneyville Historical Society will celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New York state with a parade at 6:30 p.m. June 7 starting at Cole Income Tax Service, 4098 Main St., Williamson.
Marchers will travel to United Methodist Church, 4146 Ridge Road, Williamson, to re-enact the June 7, 1911 meeting of the Suffrage Association of Wayne County, which was originally held at the church.
Attendees will enjoy songs from the suffrage era and refreshments at 7 p.m. Parade participants are encouraged to make “Votes for Women” posters.
