Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York recently recognized Marshall Exteriors, of Newark, with the Torch Award for Ethics.
The award elevates and celebrates commitments made by for-profit and nonprofit enterprises to the highest standards of leadership character and organizational ethics. It spotlights the practices of companies that generate a high level of trust among their employees, customers and communities.
An independent judging committee reviewed each application received by BBB and scored each business to identify the winners.
Marshall Exteriors opened in 2000 with one employee, owner Adam Olschewske, in 2000. The company has grown over 17 years from the trunk of Olschewske’s car to a 12,500 square foot facility with 50 employees.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that it would grow from the trunk of my car with two bloody thumbs and a hammer to accepting this honor from BBB,” Olschewske said.
Companies recognized in upstate New York join hundreds of BBB Torch Award winners selected around the country for marketplace best practices and excelling in ethical business practices.
“BBB is proud to honor Adam and Marshall Exteriors with the 2017 Torch Award for Ethics,” said Warren Clark, BBB president and CEO for upstate New York. “Marshall Exteriors was selected by an independent panel of judges based on an extensive application process.
