The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a flash flood warning for northwestern and southwestern Ontario County, as well as Livingston County, southeastern Monroe County and other nearby regions.
The warning is in effect until 10 p.m. EDT.
According to the National Weather Service, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the area in question. Up to 2 inches of rain have already fallen. I-90 near Exit 46 and I-390 between exits 5 and 12 were expected to experience flooding, as well as such areas as Canandaigua, Honeoye Falls, Mendon, Rush and Henrietta.
