At the hospital, a blood sample was obtained, and the toxicology results yielded a blood-alcohol content of .26 percent — well over the legal driving limit of .08.

A 51-year-old Macedon woman has been charged with DWI, among other charges, in connection with a one-vehicle wreck in March on Victor Road.

Sheila J. O’Connor, of 2384 State Route 350, was arrested Tuesday after a months-long investigation into the accident, in which O’Connor overturned her vehicle while allegedly navigating a turn at a high rate of speed. O’Connor and a male passenger were the only occupants at the time of the accident, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies reported, and O’Connor was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

At the hospital, a blood sample was obtained from O’Connor, and the toxicology results yielded a blood-alcohol content of .26 percent — well over the legal driving limit of .08.

O’Connor was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI-BAC, unreasonable speed and failure to keep right. She is scheduled to appear in the Macedon Town Court on July 18 to answer the charges.
