Wayne County sheriff's deputies said the four people, including the victim's daughter, murdered Julie L. Martin for insurance money.

Four people have been arrested after a four-month investigation into the suspicious death of an Ontario woman.

Wayne County sheriff’s deputies on Feb. 1 responded to 79 Jonathan Lane for a death investigation. Deputies found Julie L. Martin, 52, deceased inside the residence.

Deputies on Friday announced the arrest of four people — including the daughter of the victim — who all were charged with first-degree murder and second-degree conspiracy. They are:

Jasmine J. Harlee (the daughter), 22, of 8601 York Settlement Road, Sodus; Knowledge O. Couser, 21, of 205 Depew St., Rochester; Malquan A. Drayton, 19, of 53 Pinnacle Road, Pittsford; and Davontae M. Devine, 18, of 53 Pinnacle Road, Pittsford.

Deputies said all four of the defendants conspired to commit and murder Martin for insurance money.

All four defendants were arraigned in Ontario Town Court and were taken to Wayne County Jail without bail. All four are scheduled to return to court at a later date to answer the charges.

Deputies were assisted by the Greece Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne County Coroner’s Office and District Attorney’s Office.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at 315-946-9711.
