A Palmyra man is facing several charges after allegedly striking a female with a walking stick during a domestic incident.

State troopers said David S. Main, 54, was charged June 21 with one count each of second-degree assault, a class D felony, and misdemeanor charges of second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

The woman was taken to Newark-Wayne Hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.

Main is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court on Tuesday afternoon.
