The Shih-Tzu mix named Katie was turned into Beverly's Animal Shelter in Waterloo by a person who found her running in the area of Route 488 in the town of Phelps.

The dog reported stolen from a private residence in Clifton Springs is back home with its owner and in good health. According to Ontario County Humane Society and Sheriff’s Office, the female Shih-Tzu mix named Katie was turned into Beverly’s Animal Shelter in Waterloo by a person who found her running in the area of Route 488 in the town of Phelps. The dog was then returned to the owner.

An investigation into the circumstances of her disappearance continues by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information should call Sheriff’s Office at 585-394-4560.

Ontario County Humane Society and Sheriff’s Office had reported the possible theft of the dog sometime between 11a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, from the yard of a home on The East Main Street in the village of Clifton Springs.
