The suspects were charged with robbery in the second degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree and conspiracy in the fourth degree.
Four Wayne County residents are behind bars facing a spate of charges after sheriff's deputies allege they forced their way into a Palmyra residence late Tuesday night and took items by force.
Arrested were Crystal Quinn, 33, of White Road in Marion; and Jerome Whitson, 42, Elijah Jenkins Jr., 37, and Gabrielle Dame, 31, all of Miller Street in Newark. All were charged with robbery in the second degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree and conspiracy in the fourth degree.
The suspects are accused of conspiring in advance to rob the Palmyra man and then going to his residence to do so. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to the residence after a 911 call, but the culprits already had left.
Deputies later located a vehicle in Lyons containing all four suspects.
The suspects were arraigned in the town of Palmyra and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail. They are scheduled to appear in the Town of Palmyra Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The investigation is ongoing, the Sheriff's Office reports, and more charges are pending.
