BLUES POWER, TIMES TWO Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi were both acclaimed and popular blues-rockers on their own. The couple, who married in 2001, in recent years retired their own bands to together front a new combo, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, which returns to Rochester this Saturday, July 8. The band will play the Highland Bowl amphitheater in Highland Park, 1137 South Ave., Rochester, with the Wood Brothers and Hot Tuna also on the bill. PENN YAN WALKING TOUR Yates County History Center will offer a walking tour along Penn Yan’s Main Street at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 8 starting at Oliver House Museum, 200 Main St., Penn Yan. The tour, about an hour and a half, features the historic buildings of the village's downtown and will return to the museum to view the exhibits. The tours will also run July 22 and Aug. 12 and 19. RUN, WALK FOR WOOD Wood Library, 134 N. Main St., Canandaigua, will host its annual 5K, Fun Run and Story Walk from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8. The event will include balloon art, magic tricks, bubble magic, building blocks, glitter tattoos, music, Tornado Ts and a raffle. The story walk will feature “Froggy” by Jonathan London. Registration costs $30 for the 5K and $10 for the Fun Run. The Family Story Walk is free. MUSIC AND MOONLIGHT The reggae of Neville Francis and The Riddim Posse will begin this summer's Moonlight Stroll concert series at  Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park, 151 Charlotte St., Canandaigua, this Friday, July 7, from 8 to 10 p.m. Guests hear live performers while strolling through the estate's picturesque grounds, illuminated by lights. Guests may bring lawn chairs and blankets. The Finger Lakes Wine Center will sell wine by the glass, and Friends of Sonnenberg will sell light refreshments.
