A Wayne County inmate has been arrested in connection with the September 2016 theft of a safe from a Williamson home containing $1,700 in cash and antique coins, jewelry and trinkets. The safe later was recovered minus the contents.
Joshua A. Pellett, currently jailed on unrelated charges, was charged Monday with burglary in the second degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree — both felonies — in connection with the theft.
Pellett was arraigned in the Town of Williamson Court before Justice Barry Van Nostrand and returned to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Williamson Court at a later date to answer the charges.
