Williamson airman recognized by Portraits in Courage program
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy Lewis, of Williamson, was recognized recently by the Patriots in Courage program.
The program highlights the honor, valor, devotion and selfless sacrifice of U.S. airmen. The 10th edition recognizes 42 airmen who performed incredible feats in combat and local communities.
Lewis serves as special missions aviator with 4th Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt Field in Florida.
Airmen highlighted in the program are honored during an event in Washington, D.C., hosted by Heather Wilson, secretary of the Air Force, and Gen. David Goldfein, Air Force chief of staff. U.S. Air Force Band will perform “Heritage to Horizons” this year.
