Man shoved a guest against a wall, placed guest in chokehold and threw fiance to the ground, police report.

Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies charged Duane Charles Davis, 52, of 2850 Shepard Road, Williamson, with two counts of second-degree harassment and one count of criminal obstruction of breathing.

According to deputies, during a family gathering a verbal argument broke out between Davis and his fiance at the gathering that lead to a physical altercation. Deputies said Davis shoved a guest against a wall and then placed him in a chokehold for several seconds. David the proceeded to throw his fiance down to the ground before being broken up by other family members and guests.

Davis was arrested arraigned in town of Marion Court and released on his own recognizance. He is to return to town of Williamson Court on October 18, 2017, at 4 p.m. for the charges. A stay-away order of protection was issued.
