Geneva Police Department responded to a 911 call on Sunday about a robbery in progress on Hallenbeck Avenue. When they responded, they found 23-year-old Jawuan Brumfield unresponsive. He was taken to Strong Hospital where he later died from his injuries. Messenger Post Media is waiting for more details to be released.

The Geneva Police Department is investigating a death following a reported burglary.

On Sept. 17 around 4:50 a.m., police responded to a residence on Hallenbeck Avenue for the report of a burglary in progress.

Police say they found 23-year-old Jawuan Brumfield unresponsive. He was taken to Strong Hospital where he later died from his injuries on Sept. 18.

Police say Brumfield was not an occupant of the home. The incident is currently under investigation.
