Randy Harrier, a 15-year veteran of the Carlton Fire Department, and his wife Rebecca died after a crash on Route 31 in Ridgeway on Sunday. Troopers say the couple's vehicle was waiting to make a turn when they were rear-ended by another vehicle. They left behind three children.
The husband and wife killed in a crash in the Town of Ridgeway over the weekend left behind three kids.
Randy Harrier, a 15-year veteran of the Carlton Fire Department, and his wife Rebecca died after the crash on Route 31 on Sunday. Troopers say the couple's vehicle was waiting to make a turn on Taylor Road when they were rear-ended by another vehicle.
Rebecca was pronounced dead at the scene. Randy was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital where he died a day later.
The couple left behind three children, ages 10, 14 and 18. The fire department and local churches are working on fundraisers to support them.
Assistant Fire Chief Justin Niederhofer told our news partner, News10NBC's affiliate, WGRZ that Randy was, "Well liked with a smile on his face and he would show up wherever and you could always count on him. He'd be standing there smiling whatever was going on."
