State police say a 42-year-old Wayne County woman was driving so fast the wrong way on I-490 near the Culver exit early Friday morning that she almost hit several cars, an unmarked Rochester Police Department car and a state police vehicle. She's now facing DWI and reckless driving charges.
Troopers say a wrong-way driver was drunk and almost hit several cars on I-490.
Rochester Police say an officer saw a car driving east in the westbound lane of I-490 near Mt. Read Blvd. early Friday morning. Police say the car finally came to a stop near the Culver exit about four miles away.
Troopers say the driver, 42-year-old Christine O’Connor of Macedon, was driving so fast that they couldn't even block off the exits to stop her. According to Troopers, O’Connor almost hit an unmarked RPD car and a State Police vehicle.
O’Connor was charged with DWI and reckless driving. She is expected in Rochester City Court Friday morning.
