A Canandaigua man has been charged with second-degree assault after allegedly striking someone repeatedly with a pipe wrench.
Douglas C. Aucter, 57, of South Main Street, was charged at about 8:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, by Canandaigua Police. Police say he repeatedly struck a male victim in the head and face with the wrench.
Aucter was remanded to the Ontario County Jail pending his arraignment Tuesday morning. The victim was taken to Thompson Hospital for treatment of his wounds.
