The next few days should be neither hot nor cold — but they may be wet
For some in the Finger Lakes region, this week has been just about perfect weather-wise. It's been generally warm enough to enjoy oneself outdoors — whether traversing the lake or scouting the autumn leaves — but without the overwhelming heat experienced last week.
While it looks like there are several temperate days ahead — with highs ranging from the high 60s to the low 80s — it also looks like you may want to tote an umbrella along with your sunscreen going into Columbus Day weekend.
The National Weather Service projects a 30 percent chance of showers Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the greater Canandaigua area (with thunderstorms possible on Saturday and Sunday), though noting that on Saturday and Sunday the days should still be mostly sunny after the rain. On Monday, the rain is more of a sure thing, with a 70 percent chance of showers in the forecast. Tuesday through Thursday look to be mostly cloudy, with rain possible and continued generally temperate conditions.
