The man punched another man during an altercation outside the Wolcott Hotel Bar around 2:10 a.m. Sunday, deputies said.

A 28-year-old Wolcott man was arrested after authorities say he punched another man while severely intoxicated.

According to the Wayne County Office of the Sheriff, Joshawa J. Webster punched the man during an altercation outside of the Wolcott Hotel Bar around 2:10 a.m.. on Sunday. The man was physically injured.

Webster was charged with third-degree assault. He was arraigned in the town of Wolcott Court. Webster posted $250 cash bail and was released but will have to appear in the Wolcott Village Court at a later date to answer the charge.
