An Auburn newspaper is reporting Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb may be teaming up with Dutchess County executive and former colleague Marc Molinaro to form a Republican ticket and challenge Governor Cuomo in 2018.

Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb is considering running mates in a possible run for governor, the Citizen reports.

According to the Auburn paper, Kolb is considering teaming up with Dutchess County executive and former colleague Marc Molinaro to form a Republican ticket and challenge Governor Cuomo in 2018.

Kolb, who represents all of Ontario County and parts of Seneca County, has been exploring a potential gubernatorial campaign since late August.

Gov. Cuomo says he plans to seek re-election for a third term in office.
