24-year-old Tabarri Goins succumbed to his injuries. Troopers say Goins hitched a ride on the back of a milk truck but either jumped or fell off of it while it was on I-490. It appears the driver of the milk truck was unaware that Goins was hitching a ride.

Hospital officials say the man found seriously injured Sunday morning lying on I-490 has died.

Tabarri Goins was seriously hurt and put on life support following the incident early Monday morning.

Troopers say Goins left his house around 2:30 a.m. heading to his girlfriend's place. They say he walked through downtown Rochester then moved towards Frontier Field and Brown Street. At Brown Street, troopers say video shows Goins climbing onto the back of a milk truck stopped at a light.

But, when the truck turned to enter I-490 west, troopers say Goins either tried to jump off or fell from the truck, suffering a serious head injury.

It appears the driver of the milk truck was unaware that Goins was hitching a ride.

Goins was 24 years old.
