Rain hit the area for more than 24 hours, bringing flooding and stopping traffic.

The storm system is a wrapping up and moving up in northern New England and in Canada Monday morning. The heaviest of the rain is now exiting our region, and there's still some rain in the air through early Monday morning.

The wind is also a concern for our region, with a chance for some strong gusts over 50 mph. Right now where there is a lakeshore flood warning for the Ontario shoreline. There's a high wind warning for our lakeshore counties as well for Monroe and Wayne County through Monday afternoon.

There is also a general area flood warning that is up through Monday morning into the early afternoon for the entire region. That is for any localized flooding along some of the streams and creeks from all the rainfall.
