Deputies say a garbage truck was pushed off the road by strong winds in Sodus on Monday.

Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies say a K&D Garbage Disposal truck was heading northbound on South Street when a strong gust of wind pushed the truck onto the east shoulder of the road. Deputies say the wet ground pulled the truck further into the ditch. The weight of the truck caused the passenger side wheels to sink further into the ground which made the truck tip on its side.

The driver was taken to Strong hospital with minor injuries. The Sheriff's office was assisted by Sodus Center Fire and Lakeshore ambulance.
