A zoning board is expected to hold a public hearing Tuesday night.

A petition is circulating asking the town not to issue a permit, allowing the man to sell 500 puppies a year from his house, and another man to breed 50-to-75 dogs at his farm.

So far the petition on change.org has received nearly five-thousand signatures. The group claims one of the men asking for the permits was convicted of animal cruelty in Pennsylvania.

The meeting is Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Penn Yan Town Hall.
