Some of this snow will occasionally make it into Rochester and the Finger Lakes where some light accumulations are possible in the 1 to 3 inch range. Be prepared for wintry weather the end of the week for parts of the Finger Lakes and Western New York.

Temperatures will begin to drop Tuesday night into Wednesday and lake effect snow will begin to develop.

Most of the lake snow will be west of Rochester out towards Buffalo. Initially some snow will fall in Orleans County, mainly during the early part of the day where several inches are possible. That snow band will settle south near the Thruway in Genesee County later in the day Wednesday into Thursday where significant accumulations are possible west of Batavia.
