‘Tis the season of joy, and Newark Garden Club has been busy throughout the local community.
In November 2017, the ladies met for a work time to make all new decorations for Newark Public Library. These were placed around the library at the start of December and followed with a luncheon.
Three days later, club members met at the home of Carole Nary to remake all the wreaths for Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. These will be hung on the walls of the hospital, bringing cheer to patients, their families and visitors.
The final holiday activity was a garden therapy project, which was completed with residents at Wayne County Nursing Home.
Working with greenery brings great satisfaction to the ladies of Newark Garden Club as they help to beautify their village. New members are welcome. Call (315) 331-8535 for information.
